Autocares Vivas continues to choose UNVI IVECO M20 midibuses

Autocares VIVAS continues to choose UNVI IVECO M20 midibuses to extend their fleet of vehicles. The vehicle was sold through the IVECO Antuña dealership, based in Tremañes, Gijón.

HERMANOS VIVAS started out in the sector in 1911, the year in which Mr. Segundo Vivas González committed to transport mail between León and Benavente in a six-seater stagecoach drawn by two horses. At the end of the First World War, in 1918, he acquired his first petrol car, an old second-hand medical ambulance, bought in France, which he converted into a bus with a capacity for fourteen passengers by installing benches at the back.

In 1928, maintaining his commitment to postal deliveries, the ministry granted him the exclusive rights to the route he had been running, and after going through the deplorable events of the civil war (in 1936 four of the six coaches he owned were confiscated), he handed over the management of the company to his son Mr. Emerio Vivas Cid, who has continued the expansion of the company up to the present day. At present, the company has a fleet of 60 buses dedicated to private transport, school and workers transport and, following the family tradition, the company is managed by two great-grandchildren of the founder.

The UNVI M20 range is available in several versions: tourism in 29+G+D or 27+G+D with Large Boot. The accessible version features up to 8 wheelchairs with side or rear lift. The range is completed by an urban version with lowered rear. The IVECO chassis is powered by a 210 hp engine and fitted with a HiMatic gearbox.

TIB network relies on IVECO UNVI M20

TIB – Transports de les Illes Balears, through the Official IVECO MEBASA Dealer, trusts in UNVI to add a new M20 Urban midibus to its fleet of vehicles.

With the aim of continuing the improvements introduced this year, TIB is launching this IVECO M20 unit, an accessible body on an Iveco Daily 70C21 chassis which, in its 8.2 metres in length, has a capacity for up to 35 passengers, both seated and standing.

This IVECO UNVI vehicle is a versatile, attractive and functional option that offers various bodywork versions that adapt to different operations: urban services, school transport, tourism and adapted transport.

New delivery of UNVI to Autocares Patri

Initially, it transported personnel to the sugar factory from the villages in the region.
Autocares Patri currently has a large fleet of modern, functional coaches and minibuses, adapted to the latest developments in safety and comfort, with reclining seats, double-glazed windows, DVD, TFT monitor, CD radio, microphone, individual reading lights, seat belts, heating, air conditioning and climate control. Some vehicles have a platform lift for transporting people with reduced mobility.
They are backed by more than 50 years of service to Aranda and the region of La Ribera. They provide a personalised service, both to important companies in the area and sports clubs, as well as to large national and foreign tour operators.

Scottish tour operator Timberbush Tours renews its fleet with 14 new S20 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter from UNVI

Timberbush Tours is one of Scotland’s oldest tour operators based in Edinburgh. For this 2024 season, a total of 14 UNVI-bodied Mercedes-Benz Sprinters will be added.

This lot will be key to what the Edinburgh operator expects to be a year of strong tourism demand driven by growth in private and corporate rentals, along with day trips.
“In true Timberbush tradition, these vehicles are some of the most fuel efficient and cleanest on the market, while the company is continually committed to a spend and invest principle where a strict environmental policy is mandatory in every purchasing decision.”
These UNVI S20s have been supplied by Coachtraders, UNVI’s UK agent. According to Gordon Robertson, Director of Coachtraders, this is the largest order ever placed with the Whitburn dealer.

Minibus S20 Sprinter Mercedes-Benz

This modern and dynamic range will convince even the most demanding passengers. A minibus, yes, but its size is not at odds with top performance in terms of quality, safety, comfort and style. The S20 is, above all, a highly versatile range, easy to change, to transform according to the situation. This is why the different products – basic, tourism, transfer and PRM (for people with reduced mobility) – and vans cover any type of service and provide an effective solution to every need in the minibus segment: from the transport of schoolchildren, from the transport of goods or company employees, to luxury trips and tourist excursions or journeys between an airport and a hotel.
Excellent in terms of design and sustainable profitability, the S20 minibuses also have an excellent cost-benefit ratio.

UNVI completes order for Europe’s first 100% electric suburban double-decker bus

The last unit of the first 100% electric suburban double-decker bus order in Europe was delivered.
A project started in 2020, where the SIL Class II bodywork, on BYD chassis, is already running on Route 230 in the south of France.
This route connects the centre of Nice to the Sophia-Antipolis technology park, via the famous Promenade des Anglais promenade, to the natural environment of Sophia-Antipolis, where this technology centre is located.
UNVI takes intercity transport to maximum efficiency with this model, up to 484.5 kWh of battery capacity, 300 km of range and a passenger capacity higher than other vehicles in its category (up to 93 people).
A new double-decker and long-distance body available in electric (0 emissions), bio CNG and biodiesel (HVO) chassis in Euro6E, in both Class II and Class III.
The entire UNVI team came out to commemorate this milestone after so much dedication and effort in this successful project.
