UNVI factory tour for students of the University Programme for Employment and Autonomous Life.

UNVI have recently welcomed the current academic year students of this programme of the University of Vigo, which aims to provide skills to improve their autonomy, academic training and job preparation as active citizens.

During the visit the students with intellectual diversity were able to see first-hand our facilities, the work carried out here as well as all the products we offer.

“The experience has been very enlightening for the participants of this programme, as they could experience first-hand what it means to be part of the university environment and live new experiences like these”, said the program manager.

UNVI PRESENTS THE NEW 100% ELECTRIC UNVI EC22 CITY BUSES FOR THE CITY OF OURENSE

A total of 25 brand new buses (15 diesel and 10 electric), will start circulating in the city in Spring this year. These new buses will provide the latest technologies currently available in the sector. From driving assistance and pedestrian detection to a maximum of accessibility. The UNVI eC22 electric buses also have the latest battery technology as well as the most efficient engines in the market, reducing the carbon footprint, and ensuring zero emissions during service and increased comfort for passengers, as well as for the rest of the citizens due to the absence of noise and smoke. Ourense is committed to a more sustainable mobility.

CELEBRATING THE DELIVERY OF THE URBAN BUS 111TH FOR HORARIOS DE FUNCHAL

After winning several tenders with Volvo AutoSueco (Volvo’s official importer in Portugal) for the supply of new city buses to the public urban passenger transport company Horarios de Funchal, in Madeira (Portugal), we have delivered the last unit.
There have been a total of 111 units, all of them manufactured at CAMO Industria de Autocarros, one of our two factories, located in Vilanova de Gaia next to Porto, Portugal.
We wanted to celebrate this milestone with the key players of these orders, with our CAMO workers, so we stopped to take some commemorative pictures.

Established in 1986, Horários do Funchal – Transportes Públicos, S.A. is the public company responsible for urban transport in Funchal, capital of the Madeira region in Portugal.
It is the largest passenger operating company in the region with more than 12 million users transported in 2021. It has more than 200 buses in operation, almost all of them from CAMO.
