In collaboration with Vitrasa (Avanza Group – ADO Mobility Group), on Monday 28th of November it was presented our succesful Zero Emission Touristic Bus UNVI e.DDOT with the presence of Mayor of Vigo – Abel Caballero, Vigo Free Trade Zone Consortium Delegate – David Regardes, Urban Mobility Director at Avanza – Manuel Ramo, Vitrasa Director – Carlos González and UNVI General Manager – Javier González. The vehicle will perform driving trials for a week through the main streets of the city.
After the achieved success of more than 25 doubledecker open top buses delivered since 2018 to the main European touristic cities as Paris, London, Brussels and Amsterdam, the performed trials in Vigo will confirm the total adaptation of our own solution for the touristic bus routes in the city of Vigo.
Tourist routes which are known by a complex topography but despite of that, our bus has exceeded the previous expectations, showing a great maneuverability. The high power available with up to 400 kW made easy any uphill, even very hard, to drive with plenty of safety and comfort, without forcing the driving as any other solutions require.
With energy consumption below 1 kWh/km and keeping a high level of braking energy recovery over 30%, it is confirmed that our 100% electric UNVI e.DDOT bus is very easy to drive with a very fast learning to achieve minimum consumption while keeping high comfort level and lowest noise, thanks to the electric wheel-in-hub motors without transmission or any other conversion on top of the excellent materials and finishing’s. The driver’s ergonomics is also optimized as the continuous braking can be made with a retarder lever, either individually or used in combination with the brake pedal, reducing the need of right foot used during the driving hours.
We hope that 2022 will be the year where our customers in Spain will start to enjoy the best Zero Emission solution for their tourism customers.
The new orders will count with the higher energy density batteries which will allow to reduce further the weight, and with the possibility to offer up to 10 years of guarantee for the batteries. Everything keeping the flexibility in terms of layout and parameters, as bus length (from 10 to 13 m) as in terms of battery capacity (from 145 to 434 kWh).

UNVI DELIVERS 12 UNITS OF THE NEW URBAN M20 TO OURENSE
The new school season will start in the Ourense region, in terms of interurban public transport, with 12 new UNVI M20 vehicles that are more modern, accessible and with a lower environmental impact.
These vehicles with a capacity of 39 passengers have, among their characteristics, seat belts, an access ramp for passengers in wheelchairs and adjustable pneumatic suspension for better accessibility, as well as class II certification with R66.02.
The IVECO 70c21 chassis provides the new vehicles with 210 horse power and Hi-Matic automatic transmission, which make this proposal, bodied by UNVI, the vehicle that best adapts to the service and requirements of interurban and suburban transport in the city and region of Ourense.
The UNVI M20s are integrated into the lines of the Integrated Network of Ourense (RIO) operated through the UTE Minho Bus-Empresa Gavilanes.
The Head of the Department of Infrastructure and Mobility of the Xunta de Galicia, Ms. Ethel Vázquez, has chaired the presentation of the buses with which the region’s fleet is modernized and will allow it to serve 20 municipalities

DOUBLE-DECKERS BACK ON THE ROADS IN ISRAEL
Egged, Israel’s largest public transport operator, has just taken delivery of the first of four new UNVI SIL double-decker buses ordered to MAN Truck & Bus importer Automotive Equipment & Trucks.
These buses have a MAN chassis with the UNVI SIL body reaching 4.2 metres in height and 13 metres in length with capacity for 83 passengers plus a wheelchair. The vehicles have been developed in accordance with Israeli market regulations and requirements, such as a powerful air conditioning unit and 7.5 m3 of luggage capacity.

The pilot project to be carried out by the Ministry of Transport and EGGED was inaugurated by Transport Minister Miri Regev. During the first six months of the pilot the buses will be tested on several regular regional transport lines. The first route on which the vehicles will be tested is the line from Tel Aviv to Rishon Le Zion.
The success of this pilot project is expected to lead to further orders in 2022.

New order of our UNVI SIL DoubleDecker bus for Sweden
A completely new bodywork will arrive to Sweden shortly. In December 2022, Bergkvarabuss will receive 23 UNVI SIL buses over MAN chassis for the regional service which they have been recently awarded in Söderslätt and Österlen, in the Skåne region. Svenska Neoplan together with the Spanish Bodybuilder UNVI, has developed a double-decker bus adapted to the Swedish Express buses’ segment.
The MAN chassis has a D26RME engine with 470 CV and 6 cylinders, and the body has a 14,2 meters length and a total height of 4,2m.
As mentioned by Jonas Helsner, Svenska Neoplan’s Sales Manager, this is a growing segment in Sweden, and with this UNVI SIL Intercity model, Neoplan completes is portfolio.

UNVI C21, our new city bus available in diesel, CNG or 100% electric propulsion
The brand new URBAN UNVI whose commercial name is UNVI C21 (C stands for City) is the natural evolution of our URBIS body, of which more than 700 units have been sold throughout the life of this model.
The new UNVI C21 urban body model has a modular design that allows different types of bodywork: 100% electric, CNG or diesel. Available in class I and class II versions.
Its launch was a success since its inception since UNVI has already delivered more than 100 UNVI C21 units to date to different clients, both national and export.

Kineil Coaches Ltd have taken delivery of two new UNVI Vega EX
Kineil Coaches Ltd have taken delivery of these two stunning new 21-reg Mercedes-Benz / UNVI Vega EX mini coaches. Both are 5.5T Sprinter 516CDI base vehicles and have Mercedes-Benz 7G-tronic auto transmission, Webasto air conditioning and fridges. One has 19 luxury passenger seats and enlarged panoramic saloon windows, the other has 22 passenger seats.
Both vehicles have been sold through UNVI sales agent in Scotland, Coachtraders Ltd.
UNVI STARTS DELIVERIES OF THE NEW UNVI C21
The brand-new model UNVI C21 (C of City), is a fully renewal of URBIS model.
Over Scania chassis it will be assembled for the 79-buses order which is being delivered during the first quarter in 2021 to EMPRESA MARTÍN, from GRUPO RUIZ, for its transport contract in Cascais, Portugal.
UNVI C21 modular design allows body building with different powertrains: fully electric, CNG or diesel.
EMPRESA MARTÍN, S.A. is one of the main Spanish companies with more than 33 million transported passengers, being awarded with public contracts for regular Passenger lines since 1965.
Due to its continuous growth, there is a new public contact with the Cámara de Cascais, which has recently awarded the contract for transporting the passengers within this city. It will manage a total of 36 lines with 79 Scania buses over UNVI C21 body.
Cascais is a city with more than 200.000 inhabitants, and a well-known touristic destination in Portugal. It belongs to the Great Lisbon area and it has been a traditional Holidays’ destination since beginning of past century.
